Blue Heron Retreat is about an hour from the Ottawa airport.
Located on beautiful Christie Lake where few motor boats, parties, or unruly locals break the silence and serenity.
Christie Lake is said to offer some of the best fishing in Ontario.
The lake is shallow enough to walk halfway across and not get your hair wet.
Further out explore the many islands of Christie Lake by kayak or canoe.
Meet the resident blue heron and get a glimpse of the visiting deer.
Our cottage hummingbird is sure to make her appearance as well!

Ottawa (YOW) is the closest airport, approximately one hour from the cottage. A rental car is recommended if you want to explore the area. Vickie can arrange airport pickup depending on timing.

The cottage is located in a rural area and is not walkable to town. If you’d like to explore or go to the local shops, you’ll need a car.

The days you work with Vickie, she’ll provide lunch and dinner for you.
The rest of the time, you have use. of the full kitchen (fridge, stove, coffee maker, blender) There's a grocery store ten minutes away in Perth. Part of the luxury is that there’s nobody to feed but yourself. -
